The VAAC shall consist of no fewer than a majority of members from nationally recognized veterans’ service organizations and only veterans are eligible to serve as Board members. Members of each veterans’ organization shall appoint their representative in writing to serve on the VAAC. Organizations may appoint an alternate to serve in the absence of their primary appointment.

“At-large” appointments, who meet the qualification of veteran as defined in RCW 41.04.005 or 41.04.007, will be made by the Board.
